Register College Students in Milwaukee in Person @ Milwaukee Area Technical College (Downtown Milwaukee Campus) | Milwaukee | Wisconsin | United States

I’m willing to go in person to help register voters – where do I sign up?

Let’s get students ready to vote in the upcoming Wisconsin elections! We are looking for volunteers to help with voter registration at Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) downtown campus and University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee(UWM), January 24 and 25. Both will be indoors, masks required. UWM’s vaccination rate for students is around 94%. Vaccination rate at MATC is not available, but likely similar to UWM’s. We feel this is a COVID-safe activity, but will continue to monitor COVID levels and cancel if necessary. To help at MATC, please contact Linea Sundstrom at Linea.Sundstrom@gmail.com . To help at UWM, please contact Sue Schneidler at sfschneidler@aol.com .

Spring Voter Assistance Hotline Training @ Zoom Meeting

We will be staffing our Voter Assistance Hotline to prepare for the April 5th election, and we need your help! Join our updated hotline training here — the training is offered twice, and you only need to attend one.

The Voter Assistance Hotline (608-336-3232) aims to make sure the voting process is as smooth as possible and reduce barriers to access by providing accurate and helpful answers to voters’ questions. The hotline is staffed for every election with volunteers and staff who are thoroughly trained on Wisconsin election law.

Please note: if you have completed prior hotline trainings with WisDems, welcome back! You DO need to attend the training again in order to work on the April 5th election, as some things have changed.  https://www.mobilize.us/dpw/event/437001/
