The Fremont, Libertyville, and Vernon Township Democrats are holding a special training session for canvassing in preparation for door-knocking and to gather petition signatures to get candidates on the ballot this fall. Even if you’ve had canvass training before, you could benefit from knowing more about the process.
The Fremont Township Democrats have decided to start knocking on doors now and introducing ourselves to the people in our precincts. That way, when we come back in the fall to encourage people to go VOTE for Democrats in 2020, we may seem more like friends than strangers. Here are the details…
Tuesday, July 30th
Meeting Room A
1170 N Midlothian Rd.
Mundelein, IL 60060
Our goal, along with introducing ourselves, is to encourage people to sign petitions to get Democratic candidates on the ballot, sign up for permanent vote by mail, register people to vote, and generally network with voters in Fremont, Libertyville, and Vernon Townships.
Anyone is welcome to attend. If you’ve never walked a precinct or canvassed before, don’t worry. We can arrange it so that you’ll begin walking your precinct with an experienced canvasser who will show you the ropes. This is also a wonderful opportunity to recruit a friend or neighbor to assist you with working your precinct.
Please RSVP as soon as possible if you want to attend this upcoming training or to get some individual instruction. If you have questions, RSVP here or contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
