North Shore Indivisible is currently seeking volunteers for the following specific positions:
Digital Greeters: Digital greeters will work as a team to introduce and welcome new members to the group. We need someone to focus on the facebook group, and another who greets those who find our group through other methods. This requires solid mobile access to facebook and other sites or apps. Additional responsibilities will be to follow up with new members, try to get members to fill out our survey and encourage engagement with our candidate tracking or issue teams.Training available. No experience necessary.
(Rough Time commitment: A few minutes at a time, a few times a day)
Engagement and Outreach Coordinators: Help members maintain an active and engaged role in our group and democracy. Help recruit members into admin and other leadership roles. You know, mingle with the peoples. Help create outreach initiatives to increase awareness in, and involvement from, minority communities within our district.Training available. No experience necessary.
(Rough Time commitment: A few hours per week)
Instagram Specialist: We’re old and tired and with all the other stuff we’re trying to do, we don’t want to have to learn Instagram too. Looking for a dedicated volunteer to come to events, take pictures, and post them on instagram with awesome memes about how much good work we do. Okay, you don’t have to come to events, but have to know how to post the pictures other people take at the events and have emailed to you and post those pictures like you were at the event. Oh, and the memes too.
Interpretive Covfefe Artist: Help North Shore Indivisible members achieve their true potential in the Covfefe arts whilst not divulging the secret of the Covfefe, for one can never really know the Covfefe, can they? It is truly a highwire act, and for those of imbecilic proportions who attempt the feat, we require your complete and total loyalty. (Rough time commitment: A few minutes every few days, between the hours of 3:13 – 6:42 AM EST, but only if from the USA)
Scheduling Coordinator: Someone to maintain contact with the various venues for purposes of setting meetings. Once committees begin meeting regularly, this will become more important of a role. The scheduler should also post events into the facebook group, with the ability to send an invite to all facebook group members, based on the priority of the event/action.Training available. No experience necessary.

Social Coordinators: – The party/event planners for social outings, bowling, screenings (movies, documentaries, etc.), Thirsty thursdays (general networking event over drinks)Training available. No experience necessary.

Social Media Event Posting Coordinator: This role is responsible for working with the scheduling coordinator to ensure events are posted across internet platforms including actionnetwork.org, ofa.com, meetup.com, other indivisible groups on facebook, etc. Training available. No experience necessary.
(Rough Time commitment: A few minutes at a time, A few minutes at a time, a few days a week to update different platforms)
Voter Registrations Coordinators: This person helps to facilitate relationships with area high schools to coordinate voter registration drives during the winter and into the spring. During the Spring and Summer months, this person helps facilitate our Voters Ride the Trains program which helps put on voter registration events at all district Metra Stations before September 25, 2018.
Witness Slip Assistant Coordinator: This person works with the Witness Slip Coordinator and watches for the witness slip list to come out (usually each Sunday evening) from the witness slip working group (via legislated.org). Once published, the WS Coordinator and WS Assistant Coordinator will work together to determine which bills we will put out calls to action on that are being heard in committees during the upcoming week. This person is responsible for inputting data into the Witness Slip Submission Form which starts an automated workflow to post the weekly google doc that is shared widely amongst our group and others. Training available. No experience necessary.
